Refund Policy

We want your paid plan to be worth it. If it isn’t, here is how refunds work. This policy applies alongside your statutory consumer rights and is designed to be at least as generous as the EU right of withdrawal — it never reduces rights you have by law.
14-day money-back
If you are a first-time purchaser of a paid plan (Ink or Folio) and you are not happy, contact us within 14 days of your purchase and we will refund it, no fuss. Just email hello@hablalo.io from your account email, or request it through Polar.
How this relates to your EU withdrawal right
As an EU consumer you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services. Because a paid plan starts immediately, you consent at checkout to performance beginning straight away, which can end that statutory right once you start using the paid service (see our Terms). This Refund Policy is a separate, voluntary promise: even where the statutory right no longer applies, our 14-day money-back offer above still stands for first-time purchases. Whichever is more favourable to you applies.
Renewals
Subscriptions renew automatically, and we show the price and date before each purchase. If a renewal caught you off guard, contact us within 14 days of the renewal charge and we will work with you on a refund of that renewal. To avoid future renewals, cancel from the billing portal before the next billing date — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and stops further charges.
Free trials
If you cancel during a free trial, you are not charged at all — there is nothing to refund. You are only charged if the trial converts to a paid subscription because you did not cancel before it ended.
How refunds are paid
- Refunds are processed by Polar, our merchant of record, back to your original payment method.
- Once approved, a refund typically reaches you within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card provider.
- We may decline refunds in cases of clear abuse (for example, repeated refund-and-repurchase cycles or breach of our Terms).
